Q&A with John Jardin, Plymouth South Lacrosse Coach

What do you love most about your sport?

I love that lacrosse brings together some of the best qualities of all our favorite sports. It has the speed of basketball, the physicality of hockey and the finesse of soccer. It allows players to be creative individually while at the same time dependent on your team's chemistry and skill.

What was the biggest challenge you overcame this year with your team?

This year we were very young. Even our upperclassmen came into the season with only one year of high school lacrosse experience due to the canceled season, so it was a lot of getting us to the speed of the game.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?

We have been fortunate enough to have winning records each of the last 5 seasons, something that was never done in program history until then.

Where was your fundraising profit spent?

We have used our fundraising profits to buy custom team shooter shirts, practice pinnies and decals for our helmets. We are saving for a set of team helmets.
